Digital Learning at St Thomas More Catholic School
In today’s world our pupils are digital natives who live and operate on in the online world, they develop friendships, consume news and draw aspects of their social entertainment from their engagement with technology. This engagement occurs at home, work and in education. At St Thomas More Catholic School we believe that utilizing new and emerging technology is key to enabling learners to engage with their studies and allows pupils to access areas of their curriculum that traditional methods of teaching don’t allow.

St Thomas More Catholic School is a Google for Education Reference school, meaning we have been internationally recognised for our use of Gsuite to support pupils learning. We believe that Gsuite provides the benefits of providing pupils and staff with a wide range of tools which can support their studies, but more importantly is cloud based, so can be accessed anywhere, anytime off any device.
The collaborative nature of Gsuite allows pupils and teachers to share files, work collaboratively on them and also provides the ability for teachers to add comments to work in order to provide feedback to pupils.
At STM each pupil and each member of staff is provided with a Google Suite for Education account. The Gsuite account provides pupils with:
Unlimited Cloud Storage Access to Gsuite apps Docs (Word Processing) Sheets (Spreadsheets) Slides (Presentation software) Drawings (Graphics package) Sites (Website Design) Calendar Gmail Google Classroom VIDEO
