Info for University

In this section

St Thomas More School is a Catholic Academy with over 1500 students, of which approximately 250 are in the Sixth Form.

The school serves a wide community with students joining us in year 7 or year 12 from a very broad variety of social backgrounds.

In the Sixth Form, students follow a 2 year programme of either A level study, CTEC or BTEC Vocational courses, a mix of A level and Vocational courses or one of our 2 T Level courses.

For GCE A level subjects, students are assessed at the end of year 12 by rigorous internal, A level style examinations and predicted grades for university entrance are based on these results.

For Vocational subjects, year 12 units are certificated and graded and final predictions are based on these.

Of approximately 130 year 13 students, about 100 each year apply and take their place in Higher Education.
