The catering department at St Thomas More is a department that takes huge pride in providing quality food to staff, students and visitors. We have large dedicated catering team that go out of their way to ensure all children are catered for. Head Chef Anthony Wright has over 20 year experience working in high end restaurants, gastro pubs and iconic venues. Four of our current team are ex St Thomas More Pupils and several of the team have siblings attending St Thomas More. You can read more into our team members using the “Meet the Team” tab above!

Bistro@STM Is the in-house catering brand we have created at St Thomas More School and we pride ourselves on FRESH, QUALITY & LOCAL ingredients.
What this means to your child:
We only use quality prime cuts of British Meat. Suppliers are local to the North East. All fruit and Veg are Grade A, Fresh and local when possible. Meals are prepared onsite from our trained catering team use fresh, quality & local ingredients. The Bistro is open for breakfast service from 7.30am – 8.45am daily (excluding Tuesdays) and also for Lunch.
During Lunch service we always provide the following options:

We have introduced a sixth form coffee shop (SIX), this was a business studies project that was brought to life. We have been proudly been serving Ringtons Barista stye beverages to the sixth form, staff and visitors since 2014
POD@STM
Recently we have also introduced the POD, this is an alternative to the dinner hall which operates at morning break and lunch. The Pod is situated on the yard and serves a range of fresh hot and cold snacks, meals and drinks.
All menus have been designed with your child in mind; we receive feedback from the school council, teaching and parents. Menus change every term and we are always looking for new, exciting and current ideas for the pupils. We offer gluten free options(upon request) and are more than happy to assist in any special dietary requirements.
