Sixth Form Admissions
You are invited back in to school on a date in July (date TBC), to continue your preparations for entry into Year 12. The aim of this day is to bridge the gap between Year 11 and 12 study, give you a greater understanding of the expectations of a Sixth Form student and allow you to make informed subject choices for this September. We will cover most aspects of life in the Sixth Form with presentations by current Sixth Form students. During this day there will be the opportunity to discuss course choices with Heads of Dept. and Vocational Course Leaders.
All students who plan to join the Sixth Form are expected to attend this event. Please inform school if you are not able to attend.
Please wear full lower school uniform on this day.
Results will be available from the Sixth Form Centre which can be accessed via the rear of the school (across the metal bridge in the back car park) after 9.00 am on exam results day – date to be confirmed in Summer Term.
Please note that results will not be given out over the telephone or via e-mail. If you wish to have results posted, bring a 1st class, stamped addressed envelope (marked GCSE Year 11 in the top left-hand corner) to the Examination Office before the school closes for the summer holiday.
Registration for Sixth Form Courses
If you have fully satisfied our published minimum entry requirements and have finalised your subject choices, you can meet with one of the Sixth Form Team on GCSE results day to confirm your choices.
If you require more time to consider your choices and/or have not fully met the minimum entry requirements, please come in to school for our formal Registration Day on (Date TBC) at the following times for a one to one chat to discuss your course choices. This will also be in the Sixth Form Centre.
