Sixth Form Bursary
This is government funding to help financially disadvantaged students aged 16-19 to remain in education. There are two main types: a Vulnerable Bursary and a Discretionary Bursary which is funding up to £1200 per academic year.
Eligible students can use the bursary to help fund:
- Transport to and from school
- Any educational visit (including costs of attending university interviews and open days) or industrial/work experience travel costs
- Books
- Equipment
- Uniform
- Fields trip and other course related costs
