Futures & Careers Education

Preparing Students for Their Futures

At St Thomas More, Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) is a core part of our commitment to ensuring that every student is inspired, informed and supported to make ambitious and realistic choices about their next steps in education, training and employment.

Our careers provision meets all statutory requirements and aligns with the Gatsby Benchmarks, providing pupils and families with a clear, coherent programme from Year 7 through to post‑16 and post‑18 destinations.

Our Careers Programme

We publish our full Careers Programme so that students, parents/carers, staff and external partners can clearly understand how careers education is structured across the school.

The programme outlines:

  • Our whole‑school approach to CEIAG
  • How careers learning is embedded within the curriculum
  • Planned encounters with employers, further and higher education providers
  • Opportunities for personal guidance and decision‑making support
  • Further information on our programme can be found within the following documents:

This document is reviewed regularly to ensure it remains current and responsive to labour market needs.
