Catering at St Thomas More Catholic School
Our meals are freshly prepared each day using high quality ingredients and we offer a variety of nutritious food at lunchtimes. Our seasonal menus (which run on a three-week cycle) are changed twice a year and we work with the pupils to tailor meals to their tastes ensuring a range of hot meals, vegetarian options and sandwiches.
School Meal Payments
We operate a cashless system which reduces the need to bring money into school and helps to speed up queues. The school uses a biometric system which provides access to the account and is used to make payment. You can top up your child’s balance online.
Families use this pay for school meals. Log in to the Arbor Parent Portal. Navigate to payments. Click the ‘Top up account’ or ‘Pay by’ button. Enter the amount you wish to top up. Once confirmed the meal balance will update immediately and you will receive confirmation. You can use Arbor to check your child’s balance and meal choices.
If your child is eligible for free school meals, they will receive a daily amount of £3.15. This will be automatically added to their account each day. If your child would like to buy other items at lunchtime, you can add extra funds to their account. Below is the link to allow you to apply for free school meals though Gateshead Council.
