Our Unique Approach to Sixth Form Learning
Our Sixth Form at St Thomas More is a highly ambitious, vibrant, and enjoyable place to learn and grow. We are proud to provide the same strong pastoral care and support that define our school, while celebrating the greater freedoms and independence that come with Sixth Form life.
Students and families consistently tell us that we get this balance just right — ensuring that our young people feel like trusted young adults, while knowing that they are fully supported both academically and pastorally.
Our Sixth Form students are role models within our school community, standing proudly alongside staff and setting an example for younger pupils. We encourage them to conduct themselves as they would in the workplace, helping them to build the professional skills, confidence and resilience they will need for their future careers.
Our dedicated Sixth Form pastoral team is always available to support students, with a member of staff based in the Sixth Form Centre throughout the day to provide guidance and care whenever it is needed.
We are incredibly proud of our Sixth Form — with a pathway for every student who wishes to be part of our community. Our curriculum is both challenging and broad, offering a wide range of academic and vocational qualifications. Our outcomes are consistently strong across all areas, reflecting the impact of our teaching, guidance, and high expectations.
Most importantly, our Sixth Form students are happy, confident, and thriving — ready to take their next steps in life with ambition, integrity, and a love of learning.
