University
Each year, approximately two thirds of our students go to university. The majority of these university places are at Russell Group institutions which include Oxford and Cambridge. At St Thomas More, you will be supported every step of their way through the application process. This includes researching courses, visiting universities, UCAS and interview practice.
Throughout year 12, we offer advice, guidance and dedicated sessions on all aspects of university application. We use the Unifrog platform to drive this process which guides students to recognise their skills, experiences, interests and the subjects that they might consider for university study.
Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships and degree level apprenticeships are an increasingly popular pathway to a chosen career. Our wider curriculum provision and in house Careers advisor will support you to navigate this area should you wish to do so.
A small number of students decide to move straight into employment following Sixth Form. Our dedicated Sixth Form team will support you with writing a CV, application forms and interview preparation for the exciting next chapter in life.
