Employers information

We welcome the chance to work with employers to help make students aware of the opportunities and careers available to them in the local area. Throughout the academic year, we have multiple occasions for you to work with our students.

Below are a few of the events that take place: 

Work experience

To achieve Gatsby Benchmark 6, ‘Experiences of Workplaces’ we offer year 10 and year 12, a 1 week work experience. 

Our year 12 work experience is: Monday 20th January – Friday 24th January 2025

Our year 10 work experience: Monday 14th July – Thursday 17th July 2025

We would appreciate it if you are able to provide meaningful work experience to any of the students at our school.

Employer talks

Students enjoy hearing from employers about current opportunities in your company or about your career path. We can host you for a lunchtime talk where students can drop-in and have their lunch whilst listening to you speak. 

Alternatively if you would like to speak to a specific year group or department we can also explore these options. 

We also host employer talks specifically for National Careers Week and National Apprenticeship Week. 

Careers fair

We host a biennial careers fair for the whole school. These events provide opportunities to speak to students and parents both individually and in groups to offer information on vocational, technical and apprenticeship routes.  

Post-16 Careers Fair

Thank you so much to all of the colleges, training providers and companies who came to our Post-16 Careers Fair. The students enjoyed the fair immensely and received so much information to help them prepare for their next steps!
